*Disclaimer* I intend to ask my BFF to stick with me as my accountability buddy, but I want another one, too. So Tiff, if you read this, I love you and I still need you to help me!! I just need more help than I thought!
Help.
Two of my friends are away at college - one in CA, one in WY - and I need an accountability buddy up here in WA. My friends are the BEST friends I could have! But they're so far away that the accountability is not the same. I still need them; just in a different way.
Basically, here is what I'm asking:
I'm going to be setting some goals (which I'll post again in my October Goals post). I want to have some people jump on this bandwagon with me to help me, and have me help you.
1) Read Proverbs every day. One chapter per day; that's it.
2) Read the book of Psalms in its entirety during the month of October. (I think it's roughly 4 chapters per day).
3) Stick to my jurisdiction schedules.
Those are my goals. Seems simple, but there's so much more to it.
I just want someone I can check in with daily to keep each other accountable with the reading and jurisdictions (maybe you call them "chores." I got the idea to call them "jurisdictions" from a book written by credible Christian authors, and I like it: It gives meaning to the chores, it shows responsibility just in the title, and it's a nicer-sounding title than chores, in my opinion.) This check-in could be anything from a quick text message to a long email. It could include details on what the Bible reading meant to us, or just how we went about our day.
Just one. That's all I ask. Any takers??
