Christmas 2013 - Part 2

Christmas Day got started a bit late, since Ellie slept late (and...so did we...), lol!

We really did get ready as quickly as we could, but that included a bath for her (which we typically do at night, but since we went to Cousin Stacy's special Candlelight service in Anacortes on Christmas Eve, this did not happen), breakfast for her, and us getting ready.

I think we finally rolled into my mom's driveway at 10:30 or something like that. My Auntie Karen, her foster baby, Jullian, my parents and brother were all there.

Here's Ellie opening presents in front of her new,
personalized toy box!

She would have preferred to sit on my lap the
whole time!

Jullian and his drum!

"I eat presents, Mom!"

"I eat MORE presents, Mom!"

Opening gifts

She really did great for a little bit!

Owl :)

Haha - eating ribbon

Getting tired of it all.

Little drummer boy :)

He was so kind and helpful!

My drum?

He seriously LOVED it!

When she got a little overwhelmed, Aunta took her
to look at Nana's pretties.
Pat the Bunny!

Tired of this, Mom.
More toys!

Poor Uncle T. She really was overwhelmed. But
She loves her toys from him!
She was so tired.

Sarge always tries to "help" us....

Parental presents!

My mom's was not actually something we made
this year (at least, not part of it). More on that
in a later post. Perry is holding is Lemon Rosemary
Marmalade. :)

After we were at my parents' house, we took Ellie home for a nap. We weren't exactly planning on doing that (we'd planned to have her nap there), but it was obvious that was the best choice for us. So away we went! I even got a little rest in, which was a rarity, and very nice!

Elizabeth got a good little nap in, and then we went to Grandpa & Grandma "Hey's" house. Ellie calls Robert's mom "Hey." Really and truly. She does not do this to anyone else. Leah always said she would be "grandma" until Ellie decided she wanted to call her something else, lol. I'm just not sure I like "Grandma Hey," or even "Hey." But she calls her all the time at home: "Hey? HEY-hey..." And I have to say, "Yes, we're going to see 'Hey.'" Sigh.

I love this picture, lol!

Here she is opening gifts with "Hey"
She loved that bow on her head! lol
Pajamas to match Zoe!
3 Generations opening gifts together :)
Laughing and having fun with daddy

Is this hat too much?
A beautiful new dress from Grandpa & Grandma!

Reading a new book with Daddy
"It's a box of Trix! Trix are for kids!"

Just kidding. :) It's Ellie Jo's Mistle{toes}!

As you can see, I'm nursing Ellie behind Mom C.
But I REALLY wanted to be there when she
and Ashley opened their gifts from us!

Seriously, I was so excited to see them open their
gifts! I made them each a scarfette, and a custom
horsey coffee sleeve! (More on our gifts in
a later post).

Dad C. opening his gifts as Paul & Bambi enjoy
the festivities with us.

I was opening my gift from Mom, Dad & Ashley.
I knew what it was as soon as I got the paper
off - a beautiful new vase from Karen's flower
shop! I fell in love with it at the annual Open
House. :) LOVE IT!

Setting it up! (You can get an idea, it has 4 vases,
and it's very slender and tall.)

New shoes!

After we finished our gifts with Mom & Dad C., we left for my mom & Perry's house again.

This time, the whole family was there for the rest of gift opening and dinner!

"If....you'rehappyandyouknowit, clapyerhands!"
(Elizabeth prefers it to be done super fast and with
lots of movements!"
Love this picture of my mom, hahaha!

A rare brother hug among imminent chaos :)

Jaden LOVED this gift! Tait, Acacia and Shane
are still opening theirs.

More gifts

"WOW!"

"YAY! Thank you!"

So, that's pretty much how we ended our Christmas Day! Hope you enjoyed our two-part post. (Sorry it took me so long to finish!)
