I'm one day late on this post, mainly because I'm having some computer issues currently.
I am looking forward to tax season being over, so I can devote more time to my goals.
Here's what happened in March with my goals:
Keep making the bed - Not so much. This was a fail because of being away from home so much.
Keep up on laundry - Until this past week, yes! It was a huge success!
Make an effort to get caught up with - and stay caught up with - daily Bible reading in 1-Year Bible. Not so much. I made an effort, but it wasn't good enough.
Stay on top of reading in Psalms & Proverbs - Nope. Very sad about that one.
Get desk and one drawer in filing cabinet organized. - No, not even close.
Do a better job of vacuuming and dusting - Pretty much! I was excited about that.
Make a list of spring cleaning projects - Not yet, but it is in progress.
Get rid of old TV - It's not gone yet, but I've offered it to a few people, and it's on Craigslist.
Start listing 10 items per week on eBay - Not 10, but I'm getting more online every week!
As you can see, I was in need of some serious encouragement last month. I hate to say this, but I really experienced quite a bit of discouragement, instead. I think the problem was just being exposed to bad attitudes, complaining, and generally poor self-esteem. I don't always let that stuff bother me - especially when it comes from other people - because it doesn't concern me. But for some reason, this month, I was really susceptible to the negative effects of all of that.
So, one of my goals for April is definitely going to be to let that stuff go in one ear and out the other, or to encourage whoever or whatever situation needs some positive support.
Additionally, I really want to get back to some "me time." So another goal is to carve out at least 3 hours a week to focus on resting, relaxing and enjoying some peace. Don't get me wrong; this is not time to be lazy. The goal is simply to re-focus my energy and take some time to strive for excellence in everything I do.
Here are my April goals:
Keep making the bed
Stay caught up on laundry
Get caught up on all Bible reading
Get rid of old TV
Finalize spring cleaning list
Plant pansies out front
Don't worry about other people so much
Find 3 hours per week for myself
Pick one book to read and start it
Clean off desk in my office
Buy a new shower curtain liner for the guest bathroom
That's it! What are your goals this month?
