This weekend was pretty busy for us! I worked Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday all day and Sunday all afternoon at H&R Block (which is about 20ish hours total. However, I got up early on Saturday morning, went to Fred Meyer for Fuschia Saturday and got 2 new pots filled with potting soil! Robert borrowed his dad's pickup truck to go to Cedar Grove Compost and pick up a ton of dirt for me, hauled it all out of the truck and into the garden!
Then, Robert and Ellie Jo helped me move the chives and lemon balm to the round pots, which freed up space in my 2nd raised bed garden.
I've just started planting what I have so far, and will post later when I buy more starts exactly what we're doing this year.
Enjoy my first garden pics of the year!

As you can see, my labels face OUTWARD this year. Finally got a decent plan for that! |

Lemon balm & chocolate mint at the back - keeps the pests away. |
We still have to get chicken wire and a bunch more veggies and a few more herbs to plant, but we've made significant progress in a small amount of time! I was impressed with Elizabeth's willingness to touch "diwt" since she hates being dirty (I have no idea where she got that from...), and the fact that I made this into a family occasion and there was no complaining! Phones were left inside, and we just went to work!
Stay tuned for more updates this week!
